Cycling cols of Andorra: the complete guide

Small territory, big climbs: Andorra has only two cols on this site, but both top out above 2,100 m, among the highest points ever crossed by bike in the Pyrenees.

26.7 km at 5% from Andorra la Vella via Soldeu, topping out at 2,408 m: the highest road col in the Pyrenees, steady over its whole length despite the impressive altitude.

Ordino-Arcalís, the quiet resort

16.4 km at 5.2%, up to 12.1% from Ordino: three Tour de France finishes (Ullrich 1997, Feillu 2009, Dumoulin 2016), at the head of a valley far calmer than the capital.

Good to know

Andorra applies reduced VAT and there are many duty-free shops along the Envalira road — not the best training ground for silence, but the altitude and dry air more than make up for it. Bring a windproof jacket: above 2,000 m, the temperature gap with the valley can exceed 15 °C, even at the height of summer.
